How to get to Malaika Camp
Getting to Malaika Camp – From Nairobi by car
Malaika Camp is about 250 km distance from Nairobi. If you leave Nairobi, then drive on the Waiyaki Way towards Narok. Depending on road conditions and the weather, the trip takes about 6 hours.
At the end of the dual carriage way descend the escarpment road. At the bottom you reach the floor of the Rift Valley and turn left onto the Mahi Mahiu towards Narok town.
Take exit Narok town. After 10 km turn left through EwasoNyiro town. Then drive to Sekenani Gate, the main entrance of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. After 10 km turn right and after another 20 km you will see the Malaika Bush Camp.
Of course we will help you, if you should come to us by car (Phone camp +254 7008 16073 und +254 7268 97346). If you have arrived at the Sekenani Gate, we will pick you up from there with pleasure. Please call the Camp.
Getting to Malaika Camp by plane
You can fly to Masai Mara by aircraft. This is much faster!
International flights arrive in Nairobi at the Kenyatta International Airport. From there you need to go to Wilson Domestic Airport.
From Wilson Airport it is just a short flight of about 45 minutes to Olkiombo Airstrip. If you have landed there, we will pick you up with our 4×4 jeep. The drive to our Malaika Camp is only about 30 minutes.
Depending on the season from Wilson Airport up to 5 flights a day start to Masai Mara. Flights are carried out by the airlines Safarilink, Fly 540 and Air Kenya. We have special rates for AirKenya flights.
It is also possible to fly from other places in Kenya directly to Masai Mara.
There are also direct flights to/from Mombasa (Mombasa International Airport or Ukundu, Diani), Nanyuki, Samburu, Shaba and Lewa Downs. There is also a route directly from the Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Also very good are the connections to and from Malindi, Zanzibar and Lamu.
